Knife Crime

An Introduction To Knife Crime

Knife crime is rising in places once considered safe – including schools – and the risk doesn’t pause when term ends. We created this knife crime awareness video so that young people have access to clear, potentially life-saving information all year round, including during the school holidays.

Through real statistics, honest conversation, and interactive scenarios, this video helps young people understand the risks and consequences of carrying a knife – and empowers them to make informed, positive decisions.

In this video:

  • The facts and statistics behind knife crime
  • Why some young people carry knives, and why “protection” isn’t the answer (carrying a knife makes you three times more likely to be injured).
  • The physical, mental, and legal consequences of knife crime — for carriers, attackers, and victims alike.
  • What the law actually says about carrying, threatening, and using a weapon.
  • What to do if you’re ever threatened or confronted, with real scenarios to think through.
